Have you ever found yourself in a place where there didn’t seem to be a way out?
There was a time in my life when everything felt like chaos. I felt trapped and alone, and my mind was buried in a kind of darkness where every day felt exactly the same as the one before it.
That’s where Fallen comes from.
It’s about that moment when you feel completely lost — when you’re not sure there are any good options left, and you can’t see a clear path forward. It’s the weight of being stuck in something that keeps you from feeling whole.
Thankfully, I didn’t stay in that place forever. A few years later, writing Fallen became part of the healing process. What started as a reflection on one of the hardest times in my life turned into something powerful — a way to confront the darkness and move through it.

Fallen
Lyrics by Amy Gould – Eden On Fire
All alone in a crowded mind
Need to find a way I can get out
A million miles ago life it seemed
To slip out of reach, out of know how
Every day is just more the same
Livin' for the one who requires it
Identity all slipped away
Faint memories of a life when I owned it
I've fallen down down down down down and I don't know how to climb back out of this darkness
Oh I keep falling down down down down down into the darkness
And I don't know how to get out of the darkness
Oh I've fallen down
Every morning a brand new start
Except that it always ends up there
There's no easy way to endure
Sabotage by hands to instill fear
Staying numb a survival skill
The only way to get through the day here
Used to look forward to better days
But hope no longer resides here
I've fallen down down down down down and I don't know how to climb back out of this darkness
Oh I keep falling down down down down down into the darkness
And I don't know how to get out of the darkness
Oh I've fallen down
I've fallen down down down down down and I don't know how to climb back out of this darkness
Oh I keep falling down down down down down into the darkness
And I don't know how to get out of the darkness
Oh I've fallen down
I've fallen down down down down down and I don't know how to climb back out of this darkness
Oh I keep falling down down down down down into the darkness
And I don't know how to get out of the darkness
Oh I've fallen down
Fallen appears on the Eden On Fire album Unresolved.
